Background can be found on this thread:

A clear summary of the situation to date has been posted on this website - http://www.cristinarocks.com/2017/07/roma-police-allegedly-threatening-to.html

This is less clear; looks like a translation - http://www.mattlumine.com/morrissey-attacks-rome-police-clears-italian-tour-dates-dangerous-country-like-syria/ Patrick Kieff is lead singer of The Dears.

No update yet since the Italian police threatened to sue Morrissey for defamation when he was stopped driving in Rome last week.

Morrissey should just play the long game here, Italy is, under accepted definition, a failed nation state...only the generosity of Germany and Britain keeps it functioning on a daily basis. Once the British pull the plug on supporting basket cases then Italy is finished...not even Germany can keep all the other bancrupt nations afloat.

Play the long game Moz, within 24 months of Brexit Italy won't be able to pay its public servants...Mark my words, we will see this copper protesting out on the streets within 3 years, because he hasn't been paid for 6 months!

Play the long game Moz, play the long game!
