BBC Radio Leeds "Fun" Quiz; Strange, but true!

Troublemaker's Dad

My local BBC radio station has a light-hearted pop quiz each Sunday.
They play a seemingly random selection of records, and listeners must identify a "famous person who's been in the news".

A couple of weeks back the DJ played "Theme from TV's The Brady Bunch", "Suffer Little Children" by The Smiths, "All The Young Dudes" by Mott The Hoople and "Psycho-Killer" by Talking Heads.

And then, as the BBC switchboard went into meltdown under a barrage of horrified protest, the oblivious DJ announced "And the answer is Ian Brady, the famous Moors murderer, who died this week in a maximum security mental hospital."

And I thought Alan Partridge was an exaggeration.

File this one under "You REALLY couldn't make it up".

I spotted that story too, and I noticed straight away how grossly insensitive it was...yet the full enormity escaped me...all the young dudes...wtf!!! totally sick and/or completely oblivious!

Pure Partridge indeed!
