Bit annoyed the new version of Sherlock has finished after 3 episodes, but apparently they're making more.

I miss Inspector Morse.

Loving the new series of Mad Men - will Betty try and get back together with Don somewhere down the line? And what abut Peggy & Pete's love child?

Still don't get the ending of Lost.

Excited to see 'Edwardian Farm' is being made to follow on from 'Victorian Farm'.

Project Runway makes me want to sew.

Top Model - shallow bitch-fest but highly entertaining

Columbo should have his own dedicated channel - 24/7.

Who was the best Miss Marple - Margaret Rutherford or Joan Hickson?

The One Show - why does it exist? Can't believe Morrissey went on it, although it was highly entertaining...

Sherlock was fun.
Edwardian Farm - to look forward to. :)

The One Show - seemed like a good idea at the time!

Never really watched Lewis. It would feel like cheating ;)

Think I'd have to choose Joan Hickson as the best ever Jane Marple. She managed to be a proper old lady but really cerebral and sharp at the same time - all wrapped up in a lovely cardigan, but God - I love that theme tune from Rutherford's Marple!

Other excellent theme tunes:

Murder She Wrote

End credits of The Hulk

Cheers

Littlest Hobo *sniff*

M*A*S*H*

For Cartoons:

Family Ness

Chip N Dale

Ducktales - woo-oo

Fraggle Rock

Dangermouse

Dogtanion - irritating and weird, but nostalgia wins out

Edit: Also used to love the Hill St Blues and Cagney & Lacey 'feeme tunes'

Danger Mouse was great.
And Rhubarb and Custard. That had a catchy theme tune too.

1) I agree. Benedict Cumberbatch ( ironically, on The One Show) said he hopes they will make some more episodes after the fantastic response they received.

2) radiatinglove I agree 100%. I want to buy the box sets but they are still pricey, even after all those years.

3) I prefer Geraldine McEwan.

Anyone else enjoying the current series of Celebrity MasterChef ? I would love Christine to win.

B. Cumberbatch looks like he is 60 % papier-machè - is this his real skin? He looks as if he was molded in plastiline.

I love Margaret Rutherford best:
people flirt with her apparently smitten by her physique and sexy clothing in every movie,
the flowers in her decollete remind me of Morrissey of course.
She is sassy sporty yet warm
Posted Image
not tooo ladylike/posh
Posted Image
She has a interesting old face, not a wrinkled 30y olds
Posted Image
is credible in detecting, not nosey
Posted Image
she has a boyfriend (not only for playing cards with, using last names as innuendo)
I like the relationship btw MM and "Mr Stringer" and the actor Stringer (!) Davies was apparently her actual lover/sweetheart
and compared to the other ones she is the only one that got the appeal of a minx

There was a Margaret Rutherford Miss Marple on on Saturday - and Joan Hickson was in it as a house maid - brilliant!

Caught a random re-run of TOTP 2 the other night.

Why are there no decent music programs on anymore? I know TOTP went through quite a few rough patches, but it had some great moments. And there was that music show on ITV on Saturday mornings that just played videos with no presenter and had fast forward/rewind/play icons on screen as if it was a VCR - can't for the life of me remember the name.

Surely there must be room for a program that has proper bands on - live.

The White Room was good, and there used to be a late night show on BBC2 I think that had 3 really different artists on who would all join in and sing one song by each of them acoustically. I suppose there's Jules Holland - but he's a little bit smug no?
